Canoe Trail is a multi award winning family run business providing watersports and adventurous activities in Bedford led by professional adventurers Ashley Kenlock and Richard Harpham. Canoe Trail has a private riverside woodland which was voted Top52 things to do in the world by Lonely Planet for canoeing and wild camping. Rich and Ash have completed over 12,000 miles of human powered adventures (www.richadventure.com). featuring in magazines, TV and other media. Canoe Trail also featured in Wanderlust, Outdoor Adventure Guide, Red Bull Magazine, Paddler and many others for its trips, course and activities. We have over 180 canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards and are only 45 minutes from London.
Canoe Trail also provide outdoor activities at Kempston Outdoor Centre including canoe and kayak trips, SUP’s,as well as climbing, range activities and bushcraft for schools, youth groups and corporate events. They run British Canoeing courses and qualifications and expeditions around the UK, Scotland, Wales and Canada.
Our instructors are highly qualified in canoe, kayak and SUP holding UKCC coaching and leadership qualifications. More importantly they have a passion for adventure and journeys leading trips to Norway, Europe and beyond. Canoe Trail runs expeditions to Canada including our ever popular Yukon Canoe Expedition and Ontario Wilderness Retreat. Closer to home we run our best of Scotland Canoe Expedition based from a private hunting lodge in the Highlands with wild camping and canoeing on some of Britain's most iconic rivers and lochs.
As one of the leading paddling adventure companies we can also help with advice, kit and expedition skills including relevant First Aid training, bushcraft skills and paddling qualifications.
